The strip directly references the iconic Sāmoan MAU Movement uniform, a symbol of independence, resistance and autonomy from colonial power structures.

All mugs in this Genesis limited edition series come with signed 001-100 authentication cards, as this is also the first official merchandise line from the founder, award winning producer Anonymouz (Faiumu Matthew Salapu), who has many deep connections personally and professionally to the MAU movement through his work touring the diaspora reviving indigenous cultural practises and working on many high end national and international creative project collaborations.
Most enamel mugs used for customisation in NZ & AUS feature a silver lip (amongst other colours) which just isn’t the same as the iconic navy blue lip.
Most locally sourced classic navy blue lip mugs are not treated for heat press sublimation methods. Tautua mugs instead utilise UV DTF prints.

We do however recommend hand-washing; in addition to any vision board, diary, prayer, meditation or positive affirmation practise that you use for gratitude, it is recommended that you take a half minute out of your day to consciously hand wash this mug, and take a moment to reflect upon all that you are grateful for, and be renewed in all that you are working hard and fighting for.
